What is a Core Seat and what does it cost to add more users?

In HubSpot you pay per user, known as seats. There are three types:

View-Only Seats (free)

For people who only need to look at data, such as management or finance. They can view records, dashboards and reports but cannot edit anything. You can have an unlimited number.

Core Seats

The standard license for users who work in HubSpot. A Core Seat gives access to all the hubs you have bought, such as Marketing Hub and Content Hub, but not the specific sales and support tools.

Sales Seats and Service Seats

For salespeople and support staff who need the more advanced tools, such as sequences, playbooks, call logging, forecasting and ticket management. A Sales Seat or Service Seat includes everything in a Core Seat.

Things to consider

Don't give every user a Sales Seat by default. A Core Seat or View-Only Seat is often enough for many people in the organization, which can lower the license cost considerably. We are happy to help you review which licenses you actually need.
